Dean's Message:

    The Faculty of Economics, Commerce, and Management is one of the leading educational institutions in the region, with an outstanding reputation for providing high-quality and effective academic programs to its students. The faculty is distinguished by the diversity of its pedagogical and scientific specializations, offering a wide range of programs that cover various topics in economics, commerce, accounting, and management, enabling students to acquire the necessary knowledge and practical skills required for success in the job market.

The faculty also stands out for its team of distinguished professors who possess extensive experience in their specialized fields and who guide and encourage students to make the most of the available academic programs. The faculty employs the latest educational technologies and modern teaching methods and relies on up-to-date educational resources to provide a supportive learning environment for students' success.

Thanks to the efforts of the faculty’s dedicated team, many pedagogical and scientific achievements have been realized, reflecting the continuous rise in the quality of the education and scientific research at the faculty. These achievements include an increase in student enrollment, higher examination pass rates, a greater number of published research papers, and the organization of seminars and workshops that stimulate improvements in research and direct interaction between faculty members and students. The faculty has worked diligently and earnestly to attain these notable accomplishments, which are among the reasons that make it a popular choice for students interested in studying economics and management sciences.

The pedagogical and scientific achievements of the Faculty of Economics, Commerce, and Management are outstanding, as the faculty has achieved excellent results in various areas, including continuous improvement in the quality of teaching and research and the development of new and distinguished programs.

Introducing the Faculty

    The Faculty of Economics, Business and Management was established as the Institute of Economics by Executive Decree No. 89/140 dated August 1, 1989, which established the University of Setif. It was transformed into a faculty by Executive Decree No. 04 -251 dated December 2, 1998. The Faculty of Economics, Business and Management currently consists of a common core and four departments, namely: the Department of Commerce, the Department of Economics, the Department of Management, and the Department of Finance and Accounting, in accordance with Ministerial Decision No. 2005 dated 2016, supplementing Decision No. 401 dated October 31, 2012.

The main tasks of the faculty:

      The main tasks of the faculty in the field of higher education are as follows:

• Formation of the necessary frameworks for the economic, social, and cultural development of the country.
• Teaching students research methods and promoting training through research and for the sake of research.
• Contributing to the production, dissemination, acquisition, and development of science and knowledge.
• Participating in continuous training.

The main tasks of the faculty in the field of scientific research and technological development, in particular, are as follows:

• Contributing to the national efforts in the field of scientific research and technological development.
• Promoting and disseminating national culture.
• Participating in supporting national scientific capabilities.
• Valuing research results and disseminating scientific and technical information.
• Participating within the international scientific and cultural community in the exchange and enrichment of knowledge.
